My band, Stone Cupid, and I recorded East Nashville writer Kevin Gordon’s “Saint on a Chain” for our 2016 album, The Cardinal. In lockdown in 2020, I decided someone should record an entire collection of the Louisiana native’s songs. The result, 11 From Kevin - Songs of Kevin Gordon, will be released early 2022 on WireBird Records. Stay tuned for the release date and more news about it!

Just back from FOLK ALLIANCE in Montréal!
Had a swell time in the great Cosmopolitan City of Montréal, home of Leonard Cohen, who was honored posthumously this year. Not only did I hear a ton of great music, much of it I hadn't been aware of before... I sang after hours most every night at Cantina Navarro (Dan Navarro's fab showcase room sponsored in part by Taylor Guitars) at the late night "Folky Sanchez" covers jam. We had our first full-band Stone Cupid gig since November, on Record Store Day at Atomic Books and Records, albeit without Sergio, who was in Idaho. I plied my rhythm guitar chop and we prevailed!
