Decades ago, Julie Christensen lived in Iowa City and played music with a country-rock/western-swing outfit called Longshot. Julie was born in Iowa City and raised up in Central Iowa, so this is a homecoming of sorts, on the eve of the release of her upcoming band album, "The Cardinal," to be released in January of 2016. She and guitarist Chris Tench, from their band, Stone Cupid, will hold forth with songs from the new album, plus material from Julie's 5 other independent albums. Pre-Release copies of "The Cardinal" will be available for sale.
